In one of our projects at AlsanX, we applied our expertise to optimize the layout of a steel production facility, analyzing various scenarios to evaluate 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄, and 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀. By adjusting key parameters such as equipment speeds (both static and dynamic), we were able to dive deep into operational workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
Key highlights of the project:
🔍 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀: We assessed production timelines to ensure optimal utilization rates for critical equipment like Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF), Ladle Refining Furnaces (LRF), and Vacuum Degassers (VD).
📦 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Our team evaluated the efficiency of cranes, transfer cars, and other material handling systems to streamline operations.
🖥️ 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿-𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The simulation model provided a clear, interactive visualization of the entire production process, enabling better decision-making for layout and process improvements.
This project demonstrated how advanced simulation (The AnyLogic Company) tools can be effectively applied to enhance operational efficiency and drive tangible results in industrial settings.
